Muddy Promotions is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers made up of musicians and artists
Muddy Promotions runs The Glass Onion as a Music and Arts Community centre. The Glass Onion is made up of the front of house Fair Trade Cafe Bar, band rehersal rooms, recording studio, art and sculpture rooms, graphic design and film editing suite, photography dark room, vegetable and herb garden as well as other oportunities and activities.

Muddy Promotions was set up in August 2005, its initial aim was to put on an a festival, the GrassRoots Festival, which took place on June 23-25 2006. The idea was spearheaded by a group of individuals that were frustrated by the lack of "community spirit" that seems to have engulfed the people of Peterborough for too long.

The festival was a great success, and the events that Muddy put on and are continuing to be enjoyed by a wide selection of our community. Muddy Promotions is should be enjoyed by anyone with the good will and inclination to get involved. This all started from nothing, no coorporate or government funding, just a few friends in a room. With sheer determination, effort & nothing but positive energy, a fresh community spirit has been born. Long may a caring, self empowered, socially aware, environmentally friendly, fun loving community continue.

The Muddy Mission

Muddy Promotions is a self-organised collective made up of musicians, artists, promoters and like-minded individuals.

We are supporting the network of a collaborative and mutually supportive creative community.

We are exercising creative freedom to facilitate integration and cross-fusion of diverse disciplines, encouraging participants to gain and develop new skills and ideas.

By doing this we hope to inspire social awareness and individual empowerment to encourage a more positive, inclusive and socio-environmentally responsible society.
